Repertoire Level 2 Ballet
Class Information
Ballet is one of the oldest classical arts and remains popular today. It combines elements from many other art forms, including theatre, dance and music. Ballet dancers need good balance, and the more they dance the better their balance gets. Ballet is also a great way for a dancer to develop a better memory, and also helps with strengthening their artistry and improving turnout.
Repertoire Level 2 Ballet is a program of progressive training; students will learn the foundations of ballet technique, terminology, positions, and discover repertoire from ballets such as Coppélia & Giselle.
In this dance class, students will learn moves such as pirouettes, chaines and waltz turn. As a student learns these different movements they gain knowledge of the body's movement possibilities to create fluidity in their dancing style. For students who wish to enhance these skills further, we recommend also attending our Intermediate Ballet class which can include an introduction to Pointe work.
Repertoire Level 2 Ballet offers students the opportunity to explore the world of ballet and build on the basics of technique, composition and creativity. All skills learned in this class will help dancers become more graceful and fluid on stage.
