We are so pleased to announce that Heather Lees will be taking over as the new Principal of Wessex School of Dancing from September 2021.

Heather previously attended Wessex School of Dancing as a young child, continuing to learn here for many years. Since 2008, she started her own dance school, Zapp School of Dance in Milford on Sea where it ran successfully for over 10 years. During this time, she personally taught hundreds of students while also teaching a small number of classes at Wessex periodically.

Wessex School of Dancing has been running for over 100 years and takes pride in the fun and friendly environment it provides to students from all backgrounds. We feel it's important to continue to provide classes where students are comfortable and enjoy learning dance at the same time as making friends.

The school will continue teaching high quality classes in an array of dance styles including ballet, tap, modern and pointe. The fantastic performance opportunities will continue alongside optional exams. All while classes are taught in a fun and engaging way to keep students coming back time after time!

We have some exciting changes planned for the coming year, and we would love to keep you posted on our progress. Make sure you follow us on Facebook and Instagram for the latest news.

Classes in the Autumn term will resume on 4th September 2021, and we look forward to seeing everybody then!

And finally, if anyone has any questions please don't hesitate to contact us! We will be happy to answer all your queries!
